Waimea Bay
Waimea Bay Beach Park is famous for enormous, dangerous, and
the most spectacular ridable surf in the world. Located on the
North Shore of Oahu, Hawai'i, Waimea Bay is a natural wonder,
with white sand beaches, clean, warm water, a lagoon, and lava-rock
points on either side of the bay.
During winter months Wiamea Bay becomes a Mecca
for big wave surfing. Waves often breaking thirty plus feet,
even the inshore break can punishes the shoreline with twelve
feet waves. There's also a strong rip current running out at
the center of the bay that can be treacherous.
Summer months bring a calmness to Waimea Bay.
Waimea Bay's water is calm and great for swimming with a large
sandy beach area. During these months locals flock to Waimea
Bay to jump the "rock".

The "rock" is a large lava a rock that
sits just on the shore of Waimea Bay. It sits about twenty to
twenty-five feet above the water. Water surrounding the rock
is around ten feet deep with a soft sandy bottom. This presents
a very fun environment to take a exicting leap into the ocean.
Waimea Bay Beach Park provides:

If you are not familiar with Waimea Bay and have
concerns about safety consult the lifeguard on duty. Always
use common sense if waves are huge do not go in the water if
nobody is jumping off the Waimea Bay rock question why before
you decide to jump off.
